We are a collective dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacies of elders in leatherdyke communities. We are launching an oral history project to capture the lives that have shaped our histories. We aim to honor the resilience and wisdom of those who came before us.

Our Values

• We value and intend to center our elders’ desires: What are their wishes? 
• We define eldership not simply around age, but around a commitment to nurturing future leather generations. 
• We value accessibility: providing content in formats and through platforms that allow for consuming and engaging through multiple senses and modalities. 
• We value an iterative process, which permits us to change and grow together in community, as artists and archivists.   
• We value the consent and agency of those who choose to entrust us with their stories. 
• We show our respect through preparation and research. 
• We value the voices of trans, people of color, and disabled folk in the leatherdyke world.
• We intend to highlight and center voices too often left out of traditional archives.  
• We understand ourselves as being in community with our elders and value community archival practices.
